Having the possibility of also gaining authority by using diplomacy on near nobles of similar status or higher status, or even foreign/enemy nobility would be a logical and interesting source of "Authority" as well.Ĥ- It does NOT possess any passive source of "Authority".
Captain claw error unable load resource file 1003 mod#
Though it is a mechanic not-existent in the game currently and as such it is obvious it would not exist, and if it is later added, the mod would probably be updated, that is one of the points to why it being made Vanilla, it would have a lot more benefit.
It is truly great that it makes use of the Lord Manor that way and even forces you to build several different structures, possibly even more than one Lord Manor, but it uses too many different resources for that and limits far too much you maximum authority production which can become an issue later in the game.ģ- It does not account for the possibility of "Diplomacy". You have to do too many tiny tasks around only the Lord Manor to get several different smaller resources that serve absolutely no purpose besides being converted into "Authority". Specially for military missions, they should be one of the greatest sources of Authority / Recognition / Nobility.Ģ- It is severely over-engineered and limited. The issues with the mod and the benefit of recreating this "authority" concept as part of the vanilla gameplay are:ġ- You don't currently get "authority" as a reward of fulfilling quests or military missions. Second, the fact that you have to gather authority to purchase territory makes a LOT of sense in a medieval scenario, since a noble would require the king's or higher nobleman's permission in order to expand their territory, which Lore-wise, makes perfect sense. This genuinely would make the game a lot easier to engage in and have fun with for players that have never experienced the game before by forcibly slowing them of promoting their citizens. Since you have to pay not only money in gold, but also spend your "authority" resource, which takes time to gather and is very limited, you can't suddenly promote every single villager of citizenry even if you have the gold, specially since you also want to keep some for territory acquisition.įor newer players of the game, this is extremely beneficial, because it is one of the easiest mistakes to commit but the hardest to understand what you are doing wrong.
The way to gather authority is a bit overly complex and takes too long for you to start receiving any authority and there is also no way to lose authority, nor there is any explanation of what this authority actually is or towards whom you have or receive authority from.īut the "concept" behind it is truly perfect for the game and its impact in gameplay was very beneficial and truly fun.įor one, it made it impossible to make a mistake where as someone who had already played before knew of, which is when you promote too many citizens of their citizenry status and then create a chaos where everyone has unfulfilled needs. The "Mod" in question is "Authority" by Batyushki: Since I came back to play after a good time away from the game, there was one mod that I added to my new village that completely changed the gameplay in a VERY positive manner, but which was "overly engineered", yet the concept behind it was both logical, fits with an old suggestion of mine and can be made a LOT better use of if it is recreated as a "vanilla" game mechanic. There are no notes attached to this issue.Īuthority / Recognition / Nobility - revisiting an old suggestion + a mod analysis Can be frustrating when you alt+tab out or see your other monitors.įoundation taskbar icon.png (78,957 bytes) 03:38 There are no icon set while I running the game.
